Stat Lab — Life Matters

About

A mobile practice, not a lab with a courier

Stat Lab · Mobile phlebotomy

Stat Lab has been making house calls since 2008. There is no storefront and no waiting room — there never has been. Every appointment on the schedule is a visit to someone’s home, and the whole day is organized around getting there.

That single decision changes the visit. It means we plan around a wheelchair, a narrow hallway, a hearing aid, a nap schedule and a nervous adult child on speaker phone. It means there is time to find a difficult vein without a queue waiting behind us.

Long enough to have seen how home care actually works, and what gets in the way of a simple lab order.

Strictly

Mobile service

We do not operate a draw site. Every visit is a home visit, and every patient stays where they are.

DMV

Virginia, Maryland, DC

One practice covering the region, so a family moving between counties does not start over.

What Stat Lab holds itself to

Plain commitments. Nothing here is a claim about awards, affiliations or numbers we cannot show you.

We arrive when we said

A time window is a promise, not a suggestion. If a route runs late you hear it from us, not from a waiting room clock.

We explain the visit before we start

What we are collecting, roughly how long it takes, and what happens to the specimen afterwards — said out loud, to the patient and whoever is with them.

We say when we cannot help

Some orders need something a home visit cannot provide. When that is the case we tell you plainly, so you can get the patient where they need to be.

We treat the home like a home

Shoes, supplies, privacy, and a calm voice. The visit is short. The respect is not optional.

If a lab trip has been put off, it is worth one phone call to Stat Lab.

Tell us the patient and the town. We will tell you honestly whether a home visit works for the order.
