Mobile blood draws at home
A phlebotomist comes to the bedside, the armchair or the kitchen table and completes the draw there.
Services
Stat Lab is one mobile practice, doing the collection wherever the patient lives. The list below is grouped by who is asking — a family, a care setting, a practice, or an order that needs something specific. If your order is not described here, ask. An honest answer beats a guess.

01
For the patient who stays home, and the daughter, son or caregiver arranging it from a phone.
A phlebotomist comes to the bedside, the armchair or the kitchen table and completes the draw there.
For patients who cannot travel to a lab, with the visit built around mobility and pace.
Extra time and smaller supplies for children, and for arms that have been hard to draw before.
The same visit window each time, so a repeating lab schedule stops being a scramble.
Bring the order your provider gave you; we collect for it and send it to the laboratory.
02
For the people who run the building and answer for its residents, and would rather the lab came in.
Draws done inside the building, around the house routine, instead of sending residents out.
One dependable contact and one visit window for a house that needs regular collections.
Collections that fit your care plan so a nurse does not come off a visit to make a lab trip.
Several residents collected in a single trip when their orders are ready and waiting.
03
For the clinician whose patient should not have to be transported for a blood draw.
Collection on your requisition, so patients who expect care at home are not sent to a waiting room.
Protocol-aware collection at the participant's home, matched to the instructions the study sends.
Specimens go to the laboratory you name, and results return to the ordering provider.
04
When the order asks for something other than a routine draw, or for timing that will not wait.
The specimens your order calls for, collected at home and handled on to the lab.
A screening specimen collected at the patient's location, discreetly and to the ordering party's instructions.
DNA specimen collection completed at home for the testing a provider or testing company has ordered.
When timing is tight, say so, and we will tell you honestly what the day allows.
We collect specimens and route them to the laboratory on the order. We do not run the tests ourselves, set a treatment plan, or replace the provider who ordered the work. Results go to that provider, and questions about what a result means belong with them.
The order tells us exactly which tests to collect and where the results should go. If you have a copy, have it at the visit. If the office is sending it, tell us when you request the appointment.
Water beforehand makes most draws easier, and a warm hand helps. Tell us about blood thinners, a history of fainting, or a port when you send the request so we arrive ready.
The visit is a professional collection service. Any laboratory testing fee is set and billed by the laboratory that runs the test, and we will say plainly which part is ours before we schedule.
Describe the order, the building or the situation and we will tell you whether a home visit can cover it. This form is for questions — if you already know you want a visit, the appointment request gets you there faster.
